On July 30, Alma Garcia, Tourism Director of Tierra y Amor, will unveil the enchanting world of the Honey Museum to the Midday Rotary Club. Nestled just north of San Miguel, Tierra y Amor invites travelers to immerse themselves in a sanctuary of ecotourism and cultural richness, with the captivating Honey Museum as its centerpiece.
The Honey Museum, commemorating its second anniversary, stands as a beacon of environmental stewardship and community dedication to nature and biodiversity. Visitors to the museum can explore interactive exhibits dedicated to beekeeping, witness the intricate workings of beehives, and learn about sustainable practices crucial for supporting bee populations. Beyond the museum, Tierra y Amor offers a tapestry of ecotourism activities that highlight the region's commitment to sustainability. The Ethnographic Room delves into cultural heritage, while the Nursery and Organic Garden showcase sustainable agriculture practices. The Mesquite Forest and Dehydration Area educate about local flora and traditional methods, complemented by artistic expressions in the Land Art and Labyrinth of Crete. Tierra y Amor's commitment to sustainability extends to every facet of its operations, from organic farming to waste management and energy efficiency initiatives. The venue boasts resilient vegetable crops, ongoing reforestation efforts with native species, and eco-friendly tourism practices that preserve and protect the environment. "Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a family seeking educational activities, or simply looking for a serene retreat, Tierra y Amor promises an enriching experience that harmonizes with nature," said Alma. "Discover the wonders of the Honey Museum and explore the depths of ecological conservation in one of Mexico's most treasured destinations." Visitors are invited to indulge in honey and mesquite products at the Tasting and Chimney Area, explore local artisan crafts at the Boutique, and savor regional delicacies at the Snack Bar. The venue's Apis Healing Booth explores the therapeutic properties of bee products, while the Natural Gallery and Mineral Stone Collection showcase geological marvels. A native of San Miguel de Allende, Alma Garcia recently received her degree in Tourism Management and Development.
